Lithium battery technology is DANGEROUS, and creating a battery requires a very strong understanding of the field.

A poorly constructed battery, both electrically and mechanically/thermally, can catch fire or even explode randomly.

Many transport operators refuse to ship lithium batteries precisely because of these dangers.

Electrical:

It is STRICTLY FORBIDDEN to use cells with different internal resistances (unchecked, recovered, poor quality, varying levels of wear, etc.)! The capacity and internal resistance of the cells must be as close as possible!

Otherwise, the battery's lifespan will be drastically reduced, or the battery may be violently destroyed upon activation.

The capacity/internal resistance of the batteries is measured using specialized battery testing devices.

Ideally, cells should come from the same supplier, the same batch, and be tested to have similar internal resistance.

Using unsuitable cells will lead to their failure, damage to the other cells, and loss of warranty.

Due to different internal resistances, one cell will discharge faster than another, causing its voltage to drop below its minimum threshold, which will irreparably destroy it.

A damaged cell will then cause a chain reaction, destroying the other cells and the BMS module.

Cells must be connected using spot welding and not soldered.

The conductors used to connect the cells must be dimensioned to handle the maximum current generated by all the battery's cells.

During battery assembly, it must be considered that all cells are permanently under voltage. An accidental short circuit can cause electrocution, destruction of cells, and the BMS with the aforementioned consequences.

Mechanical:

The battery must be protected against impacts, punctures, and external electrical contacts.

It is recommended to fully insulate the battery and use a metal case to protect against potential fire.

Cables require terminals/connectors crimped using specialized tools or soldered connectors.

Thermal:

The module requires adequate cooling depending on the current intensity level used. If proper cooling is not ensured, it will fail, leading to the loss of warranty.

For cooling, it may be necessary to attach a heatsink (not included) and ensure adequate airflow: the enclosure should be ventilated, or a fan should be used (not included).
