Product Description:
The module integrates the BME280 sensor for temperature, atmospheric pressure, and humidity, which uses the I²C standard for communication, making it easily compatible with most existing development boards.
The presence of power supply voltage on the I²C 3V3 port is indicated by the "PWR LED" on the module.
For cases where power consumption needs to be minimized, the "PWR LED" can be disabled using the "PWR LED DISABLE" jumper located on the back of the PCB.
The I²C address of the sensor can be modified using the jumper on the back of the PCB. By default, the jumper is open (address 0x77), and it can be soldered (changing the address to 0x76).
The I²C 3V3 connectors are compatible with Qwiic (SparkFun) and STEMMA QT (Adafruit) standards.

Connection Example:
For this connection example, you will need the following:
1x Raspberry Pi Pico Development Board || Reference: CSQGQJ_PICO
1x BME280 3V3 GroundStudio Module || Reference: OZQDKZ_AAA
Various wires needed for electrical connections
- Make the following connections between the BME280 module and the Pi Pico board:
BME280 __________ Pi Pico
GND ______________ GND
3V3 __________ _____3V3
SDA __________ ____GPIO4
SCL ______________ GPIO5 - Connect the Pi Pico development board to the PC.
- Open Arduino IDE.
- From the "File" menu, select "Preferences".
- In the "Additional Boards Manager URLs:" window, add the following address:
https://github.com/earlephilhower/arduino-pico/releases/download/global/package_rp2040_index.json - In the "Tools" menu, select "Board:" then "Boards Manager".
- In the newly opened window, search for and install the "Raspberry Pi Pico / RP2040 by Earle F. Philhower, III" board package.
- After installation, in the Tools menu, select "Board:" -> Raspberry Pi RP2040 Boards -> Raspberry Pi Pico.
- In the "Tools" -> "Port" menu, select the port where the Pi Pico board is connected.
- If you have multiple ports and are unsure which one corresponds to the Pi Pico, disconnect it for a moment and check the "Ports" section in "Device Manager" to see which one disappears.
- Search for and install the "Adafruit BME280 Library" from the "Tools->Manage Libraries.." menu.
- After installing the library, select "File->Examples->Adafruit BME280 Library->bme280test".
- Upload the code by pressing the UPLOAD button (Ctrl+U).
- After uploading the code, the measured values from the sensor will appear in the Serial Monitor:
