NE555 + CD4017 LED Learning Board Kit

Overview

CD4017 and NE555 are very versatile chips. You can find hundreds of electronic experiments using these two chips on various sites.

In this project, NE555 has been configured in astable mode and gives clock pulses at a set frequency to CD4017. 10pcs of 5mm LEDs have been connected to output pins of CD4017 and for each pulse from NE555, the CD4017 decade counter switches on its output pins to glow the LEDs and finally all the LEDs are switched off except one(randomly) and that is your lucky number.

It can be used for playing "choose your lucky number" by kids.
